The Cottage...

Beautifully furnished cottage. We look forward to welcoming you to our cosy, spacious cottage on a large allotment to enjoy. Our property is frequented by local wildlife, and we have our own resident bandicoot family, see if you can find them!

Main Bedroom:

The Main Bedroom has a comfortable Queen Bed with a dressing table and a small built-in wardrobe. The bedroom is located at the front of the house with views of Parsons Bay from the window. Spacious in size, it is a perfect place to relax in the reading chair for some quiet time in the afternoons. There is also a TV and a heater provided.

Second Bedroom:

The second bedroom has a bunk bed (Double on the bottom, Single on the top) and is a perfect space for the kids or as a teenage retreat as it is spacious with its own TV and heating. A cot is available on request. Both bedrooms enjoy beautiful sunlight in the warmer weather.

Entrance/Sunroom:

A beautiful, peaceful space as you enter the Cottage - the sunroom/entrance has been divided into a small Study area with a Study Desk and Shelf on one end, and a quiet reading nook on the other furnished with a variety of books. Plenty of space for kids to play in, if you want to close off this area to relax in the Lounge area but still keep an eye on them.

Formal Lounge/Dining Room:

The Lounge and Dining Rooms are combined and has been beautifully furnished with velvet lounges and a decommissioned fireplace adds to the charm of the Cottage. Enjoy some old fashioned music as you listen to our records on the turntable during your dinner. There is a small TV however, we've found that we rarely use it during our stays. The dining table has seating for 6 people.

Kitchen:

The Kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery and basic cooking items eg. oil, salt, pepper, etc. There is a fridge/freezer microwave, stovetop, and oven. (We also have a BBQ provided on the front deck). We suggest that you pick up supplies on your drive down in Sorell however, there are two IGAs located nearby the Cottage - one in Nubeena, and the other in White Beach. There are also shops in Port Arthur.

Breakfast Area/Informal Sitting Room:

This cosy area next to the kitchen has a small breakfast area with a small table and two chairs; as well as a comfortable sofa and a big screen TV and a DVD player.

Bathroom:

The Bathroom is equipped with a shower and sink. Please note that due to the rural location of the Peninsula, the Cottage has tank water and please try to conserve water where you can.

Toilet:

Please note that the toilet is located at the back of the property through the laundry and the floor may be uneven at times.

Laundry:

The Laundry is located at the back of the property and has a washer and a dryer.

The Property:

The property is unfenced. You are free to enjoy the native garden. We often have lots of wildlife visiting. Please supervise children at all times as the ground can be uneven depending on rainfall and in some parts can be steep. There are a small shed and an old dairy on the property but we have kept these locked to keep the wildlife out. The property is in a quiet residential location with lovely neighbours and you may enjoy walking along the foreshore of Parsons Bay in the early evenings, where you will find a war memorial, as well as a children's' playground and a skate park as you head towards the bakery and the shops. There is also a chemist nearby, and a pizza shop.
